Paintings From The Point is a painting blog created to chronicle my progress as a painter. My name is M Collier and though I have lived in and traveled to many places I have comfortably settled on the west coast of California. Each of my painting is done in oils on 3/8" gessoed hardboard panel. All are painted from life. YOur outdoor paintings are terrific! You are able to capture and paint such a beautiful atmosphere. I want to do that when I grow up.
Thanks Peter -- "I want to do that when I grow up." -- you gave me my first laugh of the day. I use a very limited palette when I paint the landscapes -- it helps to keep the colors clean and it seems easier to achieve the atmosphere --I think !!! ;0)
Hi, I agree with Peter, I would like to grow up to be just like you as well. I love all your painting, you have a wonderful touch. This landscape is beautiful, you accomplish a lot with pure simplicity. This is true with all your other work as well.
