Here is the third installment of my “Finds Series” -- composed of like objects that clutter my studio. I have always had a thing for oil cans and have collected them for a long time. There is something about the shape and functionality of them that I like. They come in all shapes and sizes but I find I like the little ones best. The patina on an old, well used can will show some wonderful colors. The can in the middle left is my most prized -- it is a sterling silver oil can made by Tiffany.

“Pansies” is my first completed painting of 2011. Got back in my studio a few weeks ago but had a couple of false started before I was able to get back into the groove. My time off was refreshing and allowed me time to plot out the coming months.
