Paintings From The Point is a painting blog created to chronicle my progress as a painter. My name is M Collier and though I have lived in and traveled to many places I have comfortably settled on the west coast of California. Each of my painting is done in oils on 3/8" gessoed hardboard panel. All are painted from life. Wow! I think I analyzed Gardenia 2 for five minutes looking at all the subtle colors you've brilliantly packed into this little painting. Really inspiring here. That small, perfect reflection at the base of the glass is killing me, this is a great piece M.

m collier, Your work is truly beautiful. at first glance it looks so simply and yet when you really look you see the subtle beauty, shifts of color and light . Really wonderful.
