"Mammoth" 6x6

click to bid

This variety of sunflower is called "Giant Mammoth". I thought I would give growing these behemoths a shot this summer. My reward was an amazing harvest of giant golden flowers. They stand around 12' tall with a head diameter of 10 to 12 inches. Next year I am going to plant more !!!

These flowers always bring a smile to my face. In Australia, The Sulphur Crested Cockatoo ( I have one who is abut 35 years old now), are often seen devouring them as they adore the seeds. You've certainly done the giant flower justice in your latest work.
