"Spider Mum" 6x6

Oil on Hardboard

I have been subconsciously avoiding painting the spider mum; it is extremely complicated! But I have faced my fears and here are the results. I’m happy I painted it and am pleased with the outcome.

Glad you defeated your fears and jumped onto painting this beautiful flower.
I'm sure it was worth the incredible experience aside from the perfect outcome.

Gorgeous...a little edgey as well, with the dark shadows looming. Adds an intriguing sense of mystery.
