"Finds No. 1 -- Toys" 6x6
SOLD
Like most still life painters I have collected a variety of objects over the years to use as subject matter in my paintings. I have shelves packed with treasures picked up along the way. Every item was brought to my studio with the intent of using it in a painting; each piece has some quality that I found interesting and appealing. Some have sat in their places for years waiting. I want to paint them all!!! – So I came up with the idea of producing a series incorporating like items in one composition. I have entitled it the “The Finds Series”. Here is the first installment –“Finds No.1 -- Toys”. After I finished painting it I thought it would be interesting to disassemble the setup and photograph the elements of the painting straight on.
