"Finds No. 2 -- The Sea" 6x6

Oil on Hardboard 6"x 6"
SOLD

Here is installment number two in my “Finds Series”. This series is based on creating paintings incorporating like items in one composition. All the items included in the paintings I have collected and sit on the shelves in my studio.

If there is one thing everyone seems to have a few of it is shells. Mine are scattered around my studio. Some on shelves in clear sight and others are packed away in boxes. I did cheat a little on this painting – for composition purposes I felt I needed to include seaweed. Fortunately the beach is just a few blocks and away and there is always plenty of the weed there.

Just beautiful and I am always amazed at the detail you achieve in such a small painting. Yes, we all have shells around that we have collected. How nice to be so close to the beach.
